This painting came to me in a vision – it depicts clarity.
For about three weeks before sketching out this painting, I had an image in my head of an angel deep in thought. She came to me when I was going to sleep, cooking dinner, or driving. I knew it was a sign, but of what?
At the time I was dealing with some personal relationship issues, so I knew she had something to do with it. She was telling me to stop for a minute and think. Stepping back from a situation that is bothering us and giving it deep thought can help us find the clarity we need. Painting this angel has helped me do that and I hope it helps you too.
Placing expectation and judgement on our loved ones creates unrest. When we do so, we set everyone up for hurt, distrust and broken hearts. If someone has an opinion on how you should live your life, it doesn’t mean what you’re doing is wrong. It just means they see life in a different way to you.
You can find your place in the world by being yourself. When you do, everything else will fall into place. Allow your loved ones to be who they are too, because that’s why you love them in the first place. They bring a special kind of magic into your world.
Clarity and peace come with Angel in Crimson. She has a calm presence and is here to remind us to stop, feel, think deeper and be mindful of others.
She is painted in a rich, crimson red that reflects her passion, strength and depth. Her detailed gold wings shine a golden and positive glow on your life. This painting doesn’t end with this angel. She’s one in a three-part Angel series. I painted two more, each with her own, interconnected story.
