Woman with Gilded Birds

Woman with Gilded Birds

Woman with Gilded Birds is the 11th and final painting in my series, Women of Influence.

She holds a commanding presence, one that carries the many generations before her and those that have now come through her.

She holds nine flowers blossoming as a crown around her forehead. They are sons, brothers, daughters and sisters.

The butterflies are grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they fly up and around her.

She is the matriarch of this big family, all of whom have a connection to her strength, independence and determination. She is of old-school thought and holds the key to the stories of the past and future.

The big, bold, red gilded birds represent her energy and the spirit guides she relies on. She has held great love for and connection to these winged creatures all her life. They have given her the strength to overcome fears and find peace and comfort.

The one blue butterfly resting beside her represents the unconditional love and protection she received and will eternally receive through a blue butterfly spirit. A love so pure from him that nothing would ever stand between them.

This woman represents strength and presence within her family. She holds the key to the truth and an understanding of where we have come from and where we belong.

A matriarch and a woman of influence to so many in her lifetime.
