This painting would have to be another one of my favourites. I love pinks and reds together, because they feel like a warm heart.
Angel in the Sea represents clarity and inner passions. We often find ourselves living in the shallows of the water, without the courage to dive any deeper to find what we truly love.
This mermaid is here to help you bravely dive as deep as you can – once you do, you’ll find a whole new world you didn’t even know existed and discover the ability to do things you never knew you could do.
Each creature in this piece is swirling around the mermaid and if you look close enough, you will see each creating a different spiral. The spiral is a universal symbol of life, a reminder to not just survive, but to live fully and with intent.
The blue wrens represent keeping our minds open to experience it all. Even if you end up going down the wrong path, what you learn will eventually lead you to the right one. Without experience, you’ll never reach your full potential.
A repeating motif, the flying turtles in this painting represent gratitude. They cruise around the mermaid in a spiralling motion, helping us appreciate everything we have and find happiness in life’s simplicities.
The red flying fish depict pure emotion and passion. Never put your emotional depth and passion second, they make up who you are, and will feed and nourish your soul.
Finally, the blossoms in the water grow on the surface. But, when our mermaid dives through them, she discovers that they follow her – the deeper she swims, the more her garden of blossoms flourish.
